The first stack:

A beige file folder
A magazine folded open to a cream-colored page
A long folded white piece of paper

Two CDs, the first one entitled "Probate Court" by the unavoidable band "Death and Taxes." The second one is titled "Snake-charmers for Skinflints" and purports to be the latest album of the same band.

The second stack:

A large paperback book titled Sarum, with a bookmark stuck in about halfway through

A large number of cream-colored papers --- unattached, so you could pull out one of your c h o i c e .

The fifth stack:

A book of glossy photos titled Sweet Alien Love at its Finest

A dozen or so gray papers
A large book titled Le Ton Beau de Marot

Sitting right in front of one of the desk chairs is a quite large hardbound volume titled Powers You Never Knew You Had and What to Do with Them Now You've Wised Up . Did the tortoise just move?
