Our dial-up account includes, but not limited to; E-mail access, Usenet news access, Shell access, Internet file transfer, telnet, WWW, Internet relay chat, SLIP and PPP. Some of these features are explained in more details here:

Graphical Interface
Hevanet offers SLIP and PPP connections at no extra cost, allowing you to use graphical interface programs such as Internet in a Box from Spry, Chameleon from Netmanage, Microsoft Explorer, Apple Internet Connection Kit, MacTCP, Mosaic, Netscape, Eudora, and many others.

Email Address
An account on Hevanet includes a worldwide personal e-mail address. With Hevanet, one can send and receive messages to and from millions of Internet users in more than 75 countries, and people who are using such services as Compuserve, America Online, MCI Mail, AppleLink, eWorld, GEnie and Prodigy.

World Wide Web access
Hevanet's subscribers can access text information through Gopher and multimedia information through the WWW. The information is endless: government documents, university research papers, current national weather forecast, technology updates, travel guides, and Portland events to name a few.

Internet Relay Chat
IRC allows you to "talk" in real time to an individual or to a group of individuals in many countries. IRC is an international, live, never-ending conference. Join any conversation on all kinds of topics!

Prices
The table below shows your options. All options include one Megabyte of permanent space on our hard drive and 300 hours of connect time a month. There is a temporary limit of four Megabytes for large file transfers etc. Please add $10.00 start-up fee to your first check if you choose monthly billing.
