Thank you to everyone that sent in photos for the contest. Every photo we received was a winner in it's own way! We all had a great time voting for the various entries at the Christmas Dinner and our congratulations go out to Dennis Brown and his son Jake who won both the Adult and Youth categories!
ADULT CLASS WINNER
Dennis Brown of Gresham submitted this winning photo of the outstanding 6X6 Bull Elk that he harvested while bow hunting in Arizona this September.
YOUTH CLASS WINNER
13 year old Jake Brown took his first buck this year while hunting in the Steens Mountains. It was his second year hunting and he used a 30.06 Browning A-bolt to bag this great 3X4 Muley!
Josh Brown, Jake's 15 year old brother, submitted this photo of the 4X3 Buck that he took in the Trout Creek area this fall.
Gerry Rondo submitted this photo of an excellent late season Blacktail buck he took December 1st. It was late in the day when Gerry made a quick one shot kill at 15 yards using his PSE bow!
Mark Lamb harvested this fine 3x3 buck pictured below while hunting in the Starkey Experimental Forest with his 30.06 this fall.
Marvin Monsrud Sr. submitted the great photo below of his son Marvin Jr. and his grandson, Kyle. They took these fine bucks on the opening day of the season in the Northside Unit near Longcreek!
Daryl Bird submitted this photo of he and Rick Williams taken during this years elk hunt in the Starkey Unit. In the background are the LaGrande watershed and the majestic Elkhorn Mountains.
Brad Esler submitted the photo below of his 14 year old son, Scott, with his first buck – a nice three point taken in the Paulina Unit. This was Scott’s third year hunting and his first opportunity to shoot, and one shot from his 6mm Remington did the trick!

Rick Williams submitted this photo of his party's very successful Doe Hunt in the White River unit. The hunting party scored 8 animals for 8 hunters on opening weekend of the season!
