SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

The purpose of the Lake Oswego Montessori School is to provide a clean, safe environment for teaching and learning. The school's goal is to create a desire in the student to learn. The learning process incorporates the basic skills of language, mathematics, reading, writing, and social compatibility.

Our goal is to always meet, and or exceed, the state and national standards for a privately owned school. The facilities meet or exceed the Oregon State laws pertaining to sanitation and safety. The teaching materials and methods meet or exceed the state and national standards. The square footage per child exceeds the requirements. The teacher per child ration meets or exceeds the state requirements.

Our lunches and snacks are based on good nutrition and are what the children will eat and enjoy. We do not serve "junk food" for lunch or snacks.

We are sensitive to your/our childrens' needs. We pride ourselves that our children want to come to school.

We employ a competent, well trained staff and strive to provide a school where learning is a pleasant, enjoyable experience. OUr philosophy is that children have a capacity to learn and express themselves far greater than previously believed. We wish to provide the technology and environment to develop this attribute to the fullest potential.

~*~HEALTH AND SAFETY ARE OUR MAJOR CONCERNS~*~
~*~WE TREAT YOUR CHILDREN AS IF THEY WERE OUR OWN~*~
~*~WE PROVIDE A SAFE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT~*~
~*~OUR LUNCHES AND SNACKS ARE BASED ON GOOD NUTRITION~*~

WE FEEL HONORED TO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE AN IMPORTANT PART OF CHILDRENS' LIVES!
