JKL's Wish List

Those of you who know me probably have figured out that I'm not really enthusiastic about either giving or receiving gifts. I don't really expect anyone to get me a present for my Birthday or Christmas or Groundhog's day, or whatever. But, occasionally folks ask me for a list of things they can give me. So here one is...

• Online Comics Stuff. I read the online comic strips XKCD, User Friendly, and Kevin and Kell regularly. Since I read them on the web, I don't need to get copies of the books, but I wouldn't mind getting paraphenalia (mugs, shirts, etc) from them as a way of supporting the authors.
• Carl Sagan: Cosmos -- either the companion book to the series or the full series on VHS. I've got the abridged "best of" Video.
• Marvin Minsky: The Society of Mind
• And as usual, any of you who remember me saying that there is some classic work of Science Fiction or Fantasy that I "really should get around to reading someday" should remind me of what it was or send me a copy.
