The cover of this book is jet black. The title is written in gold-leaf lettering down the spine, but does not appear on the front. Instead there are four large runes, done in the same gold leaf. They mean nothing to you, and other than that they are arranged in a diamond, you can see no pattern to them.
You notice that a folded blue piece of paper is sticking out of the back of the book.
